It has been a spectacular 24 hours for Chad Le Clos. Between Chad and Cameron van der Bergh we have C2! Two golden boys of South African swimming, doing South Africa proud. Last night’s swim was nothing less than sensational. What an inspirational display of not giving up. And there was also an admirable display of sportsmanship from Michael Phelps.

What an incredible journey they must have taken to get Chad this far. I think a gold medal was always going to come, but I think it came a whole lot earlier! And imagine beating Michael Phelps to get it! Wow! So happy for him. Never give up! Your gold medal is right around the corner!

JP from the CCFm Lunchbreak (12noon to 3pm) has persuaded us to undertake a little social experiment with him. No Facebook or Twitter for 72 hours, from midnight tonight until midnight on Saturday night. So tomorrow, Friday and Saturday no Facebook for me. I think I will miss it! 🙂 I’ll still be blogging, but you will have to come to www.helgavan.com all by yourself, because the link won’t be on FB for the next three days!
