My Green Card

Thursday

Today was the day…

We got to swim this afternoon. It started off as a brilliant windless morning – perfect Spring Day but I had an early physio appointment so we put off the beach until this afternoon. By the time we got down there, a north wind had picked up. The water was lovely and it was good to be back. Who wouldn’t want to give this a go?

Yeah, I see those hands!

I’m learning a lot at my physio appointments. Jessie has been treating both my left calf/deep tendon and my jaw muscles. It’s so enlightening because as I sit at my desk for several hours a day, my neck is also super tense. That increases the stress to my jaw muscles. I never knew all these things were interconnected. The other thing I learned today was that heat is what we want on these stressed muscles and tendons, not cold. All my swimming in the sea may help with any pain, but it’s not opening up the blood supply to the muscles. I need to schedule another visit to the hot springs to really press restart.

At lunchtime, Mike and I took off to Tokai to go and pick up My Green Card. We got mine and will do Mike’s in a few months time.

I’m looking forward to the weekend. All is calm on the home front.

Colossians 4:2

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
