I may not write it every day but as Stacey’s pregnancy progresses, it comes to mind that my daily scribbles should be directed to her. Today was special. Stacey had a consultation and the little one is growing well. She is all of 450g now and apparently, according to the doctor, she has long legs! It had me scuttling off for Stacey’s baby book to find out how long she was when she was born. She was 54cm in length at birth with a head circumference of 35cm. She weighed 3970g. Not small. She was bonny and healthy. She came out screaming and was all good from day 1. Stacey only had her first antibiotics when she was nearly 2. Stacey is now just over 21 weeks and will be 5 months next week Monday. We are grateful.
#533 of my 1000 thanks is for normalcy. Stacey was telling me how advanced the technology is becoming. Today was the anatomy scan. Stacey and Adrian could see each of their daughter’s 4 heart chambers. Her heart was racing along at 136bpm. The doctor turned up the volume so they could hear. She is altogether normal, from her brain to her kidneys, her heart and her little organs. All is well. We thank the Lord for that.
Okay, so I go to 10th January in my diary (the one Stacey gave me for Christmas) and that has a Bible verse for each day of the year. I decided to use each those daily Bible verses for this blog. Just look which one is for today:
My little precious one, don’t ever forget that God knows you and He is in the detail. Nothing escapes His notice. He sees you at 21 weeks and 1 day, which you are today and He sees you at the time that you may read these words. Your are much prayed for and much-loved.
It’s hard to come back down from that little baby high and speak about the mundane, but here goes…. I went to gym and did the components of triathlon. I ran 2.5km in 17 minutes and 16 seconds. Then I cycled 10km in 25 minutes. I swam 400m (16 lengths) in just under 15 minutes. I rested every two lengths.
My view from the bike…
Then I’ve done about 7 hours of work today. I had my first Skype call at 10-30am, so I went to gym at 8am and was home just after 9-30am. I had my last Skype call at 5-30pm. It’s been a fruitful day.
I also spent half an hour on the phone to Stacey and an hour on a call to Riana. Shew. I’ve sucked the marrow out of this beautiful Wednesday! Tomorrow, it won’t be as full. Mike has an eye appointment, so I’ve cleared my diary to take him through for that. Praise the Lord his eye is doing very well.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
