Monday
Dear Elsie,
Today was the day your Mom sent your check list. It’s such a sensible one!
Sometimes I forget to do my hair and brush my teeth! No star for me!
Today I woke up wayyyy too early, so it’s no wonder that 12 hours later, around 4pm, I’m dozing off at my computer. Maybe I should have a little snooze, but not before I post this photo that Google reminded me was 7 years ago. September 2016.
Now we have a 4 story building where Mike is standing. The only part we may be able to recognise is the telephone pole. This I took today – using my wide angle lens. The lines at the top are the same & the bushes right of the pole are still there. I called Mike off a job to be in the photo.
Fun times. Mike’s gone back to work now. Enjoying his theodolite & there’s the phone line again.
I had a solid days’ work and Courage and Brian got through a list I had compiled for them. They had to cut back a bush at the ‘turn’ steps by the lower patio, because it had a mass of pretty pink flowers. Nothing wrong with the flowers, but they were attracting too many bees for my liking and with guests around this week, I needed those gone. I noticed a small patch of pink flowers left a little way away, so the bees can still use that pollen. Courage cleaned the carpet that was in the Seaview Apartment because it was really dirty. It’s now almost dry and on the balcony. They fixed the braai which had a hole in it (put a slab over the hole!) and Courage cleaned our front windows. I’m really happy those chores have been done. There is rain coming and the wind is cold.
Tomorrow is another day.
Psalm 146:2
I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
