Morning Routine

Thursday

Dear Elsie

Today I followed my regular morning routine. I woke up just after 5am and let the cats out the study. I usually pick each of them up to give them a good morning cuddle before feeding them. They I let them out. I make myself coffee and this morning, I went out on the balcony for a few minutes.  Claw’d wandered out but didn’t jump up on my lap, so I came inside and went to sit in my rocking chair with my blanket. It took him 5 seconds and he was on my lap making himself comfortable.

Then I do my word games including Wordle, Quordle and Octordle. That takes about 15 minutes. After that I do my Bible reading. Claw’d was feeling very comfortable…

David came up shortly after that, had coffee and breakfast and then went downstairs again. Initially, the day looked a bit overcast and we weren’t going to go to the beach, but with it being so windless, we couldn’t resist. Mike had a shortened run and I had a shortened swim but it was so worth it. There were a class of 13 little ones with their two teachers enjoying the gentle waves. Perfect day for it.

It shows how beautiful the day was.

Home for breakfast & then I started work. In the background the horror show of Cricket World Cup Semi-finals was underway between South Africa and Australia. While we didn’t completely humiliate ourselves, we did lose, so I won’t have to go through the same torment on Sunday.

Midday, I nipped out to do some shopping.

More work in the afternoon. And then after work Julian and I went walking.

Dinner and now we are going to watch the Crown.

But also today, Elsie, your Mom sent this adorable photo of you swimming.

You are growing in confidence.

David is feeling more chipper today. He’s up here now and we are about to watch The Crown. He appreciated Pastor John coming to visit today. These visits make a difference.

Isaiah 40:29
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
