More About The Rail Tracks on FH Beach

Tuesday

Today was the day…

We got to swim this morning. Tide was very low so it was easy to swim in the shallows. I took a bit of time but did 2km. It was just beautiful.

More information came to light today about the railway tracks found on Fish Hoek beach yesterday. They were not the tracks that carried the train to the Clovelly side. They were the tracks that held the palisade fencing together. I went onto FB and found a whole lot of related stories. Ratepayers said this…

Then the City of Cape Town released these photos showing the palisade fence with the old rusty tracks connecting them together…

Brian Martin put an illustration on Google maps to show where the railway ran (orange line through the red-roof housing complex),  compared to where the palisade fencing was located.

So that’s solved that mystery.

Today Megan left. She was in the Seaview Apartment (David’s unit) and came up and had a cup of coffee with us before she left. I think we may get to see her again. A couple arrived to stay in the cottage for 2 weeks. They will then go travelling for a further few weeks and then return here for 3 nights, before flying home.  New booking for the Little Lookout on Friday for three nights. Julian arrived today as well.

A new month! Yay for February!

Psalm 136:2

Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
