More About the Baboon and Kittens

Saturday

Today was the day…

We did a few things back to front. I slept really badly last night, so was awake way into the small hours of the morning. Eventually, I fell asleep and woke up just before 7am. It was going to be a warm morning, so instead of having coffee, doing my Bible reading and then going to the beach, we went straight to the beach. The water was fantastic – it was easy to swim and there were loads of people.

While there, I got a message from my neighbour saying he didn’t know about the caracals. Look what he said…he’s white, I’m green. I couldn’t believe it! The baboon had come down from his tree, gone up our road and into our neighbour’s house. Our guest saw him too! Fortunately the baboon monitor was on site to shew him on his way and we haven’t seen him since. Talking of the baboon. His name is Rafiki, but someone who didn’t know that, started referring to him as Mr Boon & for a short while it caught on…

But that ended with this…

Oops! Whatsapp group politics!

So that was the baboon antics of the day. The neighbour told me more about the kittens & sent me photos. Their names are Sybil and Basil and they are adorable.

I hope to see a lot more of them. It will be lovely having cats close by.

We had quite a busy day. After the swim, we had breakfast, did my Bible reading and had coffee. Then we went to put the finishing touches to the cottages as guests arrived. After that we went shopping, which took us to Whitehouse, Gelmar and Checkers.  Home in time to clean the Little Lookout and then we showered and went to the Beretta’s for dinner.

Home, blog, bed. I’m ready.

Psalm 65:11

You crown the year with Your bounty, and Your carts overflow with abundance.

This was what the sea looked like at sunset yesterday. An abundance of beauty indeed. Unedited.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
