I felt a bit out of kilter today for two reasons:
- I didn’t go to gym.
- We had no internet.
On both accounts it served to interrupt my routine. No internet was particularly irritating because the reason I don’t go to gym on a Monday (apart from resting) is to catch up with the work that accumulated over the weekend. I can’t do that without internet, so I ended up heading to Fish Hoek to the Stag which provided me with fabulous internet…
One of the most fabulous things about today was IT RAINED! Look! Puddles!…even if they are little ones. Free water. God is so abundant in His supply. It waters everywhere at once! The rain will come.
#538 of my 1000 thanks is for puddles!
I got home close to 12. The internet came back on. I washed my hair and headed off to have it cut.
This afternoon, I had a nap, did a bit of work, watched a movie with Mike and walked around the block.
Then I worked from 7 until 9pm.
I have just logged onto Facebook and it has shared a family photo that I posted ten years ago. This was taken on 15-1-2008. Back row left to right – Mike, David, Adrian, My Dad. Front row left to right, me, Granny, Stacey and Miriam (my Stepmom). My Dad and Granny are in heaven. We were about to leave to take my Dad and Miriam to the airport to fly back to Harare. My Dad passed away 8 months later. He looks in good health here, but he had spent the night of 31st December 2007 at False Bay Hospital after a mini stroke. It was not an easy holiday. Stacey and Adrian look wonderful. Ten years on and Stacey is 5 months pregnant today!
Psalm 100:3
Know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
