Over the last month, since Mike had the injection into his eye on 7th December, we have been waiting and expecting his sight to get a little worse. It hasn’t. In fact, on the contrary, it has gone from strength to strength. Today we had an appointment with the ophthalmologist and he was amazed at the improvement. This was it at its worst on 30th November. He had the injection on 7th December.
And today…
There are apparently little dots of blood still, so the doctor has advised us to go ahead with the regimen of monthly injects for another two months and then miss a month. So next Thursday we toddle off to have the second little injection.
#534 of our 1000 thanks – We are beyond grateful for the remarkable improvement in Mike’s eye. God uses men to heal. When Mike went for the first injection, our prayer was that the injection would be like Jesus putting mud on the blind man’s eye (John 9:6). Everything we have comes from God. Our sight, our money, our gifts. The doctor may have the skill but it is God who has equipped him and we are so grateful.
Jeremiah 1:4
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.
Praise the Lord!
So our doctor’s visit took up the morning, although I fitted in gym beforehand:
- Warm up walk 5 minutes
- Run 5km 36 minutes
- Cool down walk 5 minutes
- Walk with Ingrid 16 minutes
Then I skedaddled home to shower.
Just an addition about this day: In Claremont it was 32C. At the top of Ou Kaapse Weg it maxed out at 39C and outside our house it was 31C. A hot sunny January day.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
