I opened News 24 this morning to see this happy news.
The report doesn’t say whether she still has a police presence at her side, something reports said she had for quite some time after she left hospital and rehab.
In the report Buikman also did not mention why Marli has not seen her only other surviving family member Henri since the attack. Again, it’s a case of if someone else came into the house and attacked the family, the trauma would have thrown the two of them together. Instead, they seem to have not been in contact. I scanned recent reports and have yet to find any news of Henri over the last month. I am sure his lawyer and supplier of funding will know where he is and to that end, the police are probably being kept informed.
I know one day I will wake up and hear there has been an arrest in this murder case. In the meantime, I feel like there should be some sort of philanthropic educational memorial fund in memory of Martin, Teresa and Rudi. Let their names be remembered and mentioned in a positive light instead of the gruesome way they died.
In ten days time, Teresa would have celebrated her 56th birthday. As I look at the service sheet from their funeral service, I am again struck by the fact that the date of death is 26th January 2015. The reports I have read have said they died in the early hours of Tuesday 27th January 2015. Henri’s call to the police was three or more hours later at around 7am. It is a mystery, which no doubt, in time, will be solved. I’ll be looking out for it.
Meantime, these two youngsters, Henri and Marli have to get on with their lives and do the best that they can with the time they have been given.
Make the most of today. We will not walk through this day again. Once it is over, it has gone forever. So just embrace today, hug it. Try and suck the marrow out of it, taste its moments and appreciate its colours, its movements and each person who passes through it with you.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
