Good Friday
Today was a special day. Mike and I watched church and shared communion. The rest of the day unfolded in a quiet and gentle fashion. We had coffee in the back garden.
And then later this afternoon we did something very unusual for Mike and I. We braaied!
Braai for two…
I kept wishing there were more of us but am grateful that we got to do it.
I did some work after dinner and this evening at 8pm, Mike and I will go and clap for the carers.
Last night the President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa announced the lock down will continue in South Africa for another three weeks, so now we get to stay home and safe until 30th April. Overnight, worldwide deaths of the disease crossed 100 000.
In the next few days the US will cross the half a million mark of Coronavirus cases…
South Africa has had 69 over the last 24 hours taking us now, just over 2000, plus we’ve had 6 more deaths, bringing the number who have died to 24.
Today is Good Friday . Shaun Pollock, well-known cricket commentator put this on his Twitter feed…relevant for the day and the unexpected circumstances we find ourselves in at the moment…
1 Peter 1:7
When your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honour on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
We keep going.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
