Lock Down Day 14

Thursday

Another quiet day with not much happening.

  1. I took my laptop onto the patio and worked there for a while, which was nice.
  2. We had our last food delivery. I haven’t ordered any more food online because I think I spend less going to the supermarket.
  3. I went to the shops to find a suet ball for the birds and I was successful. I couldn’t find all the ingredients for the home-made seed balls, but I am still wanting to try those.
  4. I had a great training session with colleagues today. It was almost two hours.
  5. Altogether I worked 6 hours and 40 minutes today.
  6. Mike baked bread.🍞😀

And now it’s Easter weekend! I have told my colleagues that I will treat Friday and Monday as I usually treat Sunday. I’ll keep an eye on my email and if anything important comes up, I’ll jump online and deal with it. I’m expecting it to be pretty quiet.

At the shops today, I felt I got it right with good infection control! I wore my mask and it didn’t slip down. When I got my trolley, I sprayed down the trolley handle as well as my hands, but from the  moment I started taking things off the shelf and putting them in my trolley, I treated my hands as ‘unclean’. So after I had bought and paid for everything, at the till, I cleaned my hands, my wallet and credit card. On the way to my car, I sprayed the handles of the carry bags as well as my hands. I cleaned my keys, so I was pretty much sanitised going home and when I got home, the handles of the shopping bags were clean so Mike could handle them. He took everything inside and wiped down all the packaging. This is what we are doing these days in light of the Corona virus and trying to keep our home safe.  I was confident I’d left behind any germs or killed them before getting into the car.

We are waiting for 8pm when the President will address the nation. It’s been two weeks since we began our lock down and we have a week left. He may say if it is to continue. South Africa up to yesterday had 1845 cases of Covid-19 with 18 deaths.

Today I am so grateful for good health.

Matthew 21:21

Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more.”

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
