3-58pm
Last night, Adrian and Stacey came over to wish Mike happy birthday, bringing with them their gifts…David also waited for his sister and brother-in-law to arrive before giving Mike his gift… Mike was expecting the one but not the other…
They all immediately set about setting it up…
David was born the day after Mike’s birthday. This year, he has had to wait an extra day for his 21st! We are all ready for it and we are quite organised for his party on Saturday… in fact I find myself quite in my element with all this organising going on…
Tomorrow, I will go to work as usual, then David will meet me at CCFm and Mike & I will take him out for a bumper 21st breakfast to remember – at one of my favourite spots in Cape Town. After the breakfast, David will head off to UCT, Mike back to work and me off to shop. Tomorrow night, Adrian & Stace will come visit again and pizza is on the menu. Ah, David is so easy to please! 🙂
Meantime, Monty is doing well…
Psalm 44:3 says “It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their right arm bring them victory; it was Your right hand, Your arm, and the light of Your face, for You loved them.”
We go through life, striving to do everything in our own power and strength. As people of faith – those who have put their trust in Christ, it is always important to remember that in every victory, every blessing received, every hurdle overcome, every battle won, it is not by our own power. God has His hand in every single aspect of our lives.
To God be All the Glory.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
