3-05pm
A good eating day today! I seemed to have got the balance right. For breakfast I had my berries with double cream plain yoghurt, almonds AND a tablespoon of marscapone cheese. Oooh, it was very good!
It was a beautiful sunrise … this photo taken at 5-45am…
The trip home took me through the roadworks. A normal working day in Kalk Bay…
I went to see Granny. The way ahead is that she will be at Living Hope until Thursday next week. Then she will come home. In the meantime, we are looking to see if we can put her name down at a frail care. We will keep her at home until the several months have passed that she would have to be on the waiting list. Then we’ll take it from there. We may change our minds and keep her home or she may go. It does depend on her. Today, when I was chatting to her, she seemed to think that Living Hope was her final destination! She was quite happy to hear she’s coming home next week, after we have got her fully mobilised.
Today, I also took advantage of the beautiful day and went out with David…
(Artificial lawn at Noordhoek Farm Village, which is quite ironic considering the Noordhoek folks are really into nature!)
For lunch I had a scrumptious butternut and beetroot salad with goat’s cheese and avocado pear. I had snacked on(less than yesterday) nuts and seeds, so only finished half of it. The rest I’ll have for dinner.
I’m feeling happier today, now that I’ve got a strategy for Granny. I’ve felt burdened.
Psalm 81:6-7 “He says, ‘I removed their burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket. In your distress you called and I rescued you.’ “
Thank you, Lord, for the blessing of being able to bring You the burdens we have and have You remove them from our shoulders.
If you are in Cape Town, enjoy this magnificent weather! If you are in Kuala Lumpur, enjoy the magnificent rains! (Adrian and Stacey got soaked!)
Wherever you are, you’re in His grip,
Love Helga xx 🙂
