Yes! It’s the “lasts” that start today. Today is Mike’s last Tuesday before he retires. It will be the 5th last egg sandwich and cappuccino he orders from the food-court.
Not that I’m excited or anything! Ha! Ha! We are SO excited!
Dancing in the moonlight will definitely be on the agenda! 😀
Over these next 5 working days, I am trying not to fall into the trap of ‘wishing them away.’  When Mike is home  from next week, my routine will change. He has already made it hard for me, saying he will make me a cappuccino every morning! Gasp! How lovely! But what about my walk?
I do believe that some people think I am OTT when it comes to my daily 3 point to-do list:
- Read – the Bible
- Walk – 10 000 steps (and some to burn 2200 calories)
- Write – this blog.
By far and away, getting the calories burned is the hardest part. It’s time consuming and generally the formula is 1.5 hours of walking and 20 minutes on the exercise bike. If I do that along with my normal fussing about the house, I’ll burn 2200 calories a day. BUT, it’s nearly 2 hours of exercise, so I’ve got to accommodate it. It means getting up and out by about 6-30 – when I get home, I make cappuccino, but it would be SO much nicer to have it served to me in bed! I think it may come to pass, that I do the serving and Mike is the happy recipient!
I am trapped in a goal that is hard to achieve, yet I really want to achieve it, amidst changing circumstances AND changing of the seasons. It’s getting light later, so it may come to pass that my 6-30 departure time becomes 7am. Also with winter coming, I may be able to walk during the day and not only early morning and at sunset.
So we’ll see.
No reason to run ahead of myself here.
Just enjoy today.
I read Psalm 40 today. The first 3 verses are inspirational and encouraging.
I waited patiently for the Lord;Â He turned to me and heard my cry.
 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,  out of the mud and mire;
He set my feet on a rock  and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,  a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in Him.
What a blessing.
Keep the smile going!
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
