KLM Flight Changed

Wednesday

Today was the day…

I got a KLM flight changed. The best made plans can go awry and ours did. We had booked Cape Town to Milan via Amsterdam for us and Johannesburg to Milan via Amsterdam for Julian. We would meet up in Amsterdam and then get on the same flight to Milan. Sorted & paid. Then KLM changed our flight from Cape Town to half an hour later and we couldn’t make our connecting flight. This left Julian on a flight to one airport in Milan and us on another flight to a different airport in Milan. It was suddenly all very messy.  I tried changing it online, but they said I had to phone. I procrastinated and then today called to see what I was in for. After hanging on the line in a holding pattern for 6 minutes, I hung up. A little later I again took the plunge, phoning from my cell phone so the line would be better and put it on speaker phone so I could work while waiting. 21 minutes later, the job was complete. Julian’s flight from Amsterdam to Milan was changed and now we are all on the same flight again.  Big tick. Let’s hope KLM doesn’t make any more schedule changes.

The other thing that happened today is they fixed the manhole. The other day we were out walking and discovered a manhole cover had fallen in, making it hazardous.

I reported it on the street whatsapp group. Felicity Purchase reported it to Council and today this was there…

At least a temporary fix.

I walked to Fish Hoek to pick up my favourite tea -it used to be Rooibos ginger, but now it’s Rooibos Chamomile & I had run out. On the way back I sat on one of my favourite benches. It’s on what I call Daisy Lane…

And it has this view…

Lovely place to sit for a few quiet moments.

6 hours of work and now time for a quiet evening.

Isaiah 54:10

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
