John the Atheist…

I just love this play on words and it comes with an amazing little story. We’ve recently had training at CCFm. You may remember me mentioning some later nights than usual because of the training. Well the guys that were doing the training, commented that CCFm is “overtly Christian” and if we want to reach unchurched people, we need to tone it down. I wondered a few things about this and spent quite a time thinking about it. I also wondered how I could find out if we have unchurched non-Christians listening to us. I actually prayed about it. How can I find this out, without taking it on air? So imagine my surprise when a guy called John sends in a text message to answer one of the questions we ask this week. We add his name to our system data base and today he sends in another sms, this time, as John the Atheist! 🙂 Just so loved it, one, because God had answered my prayer and two, because although John may not believe in God, God surely believes in him! Hope to hear from him again soon!

So right after the show, I zipped out to have breakfast with my friends as school holidays start today and the Moms with children at school had to collect them early.  I have spent the rest of the day relaxing. It’s been sweet.
