2-55pm
Up early as today was ‘back to work’ for me day. One of the things I noticed was the sun is already rising later. Now that I know how to use the panorama feature on my cell phone, I am able to take them, so here’s the panoramic view of the day dawning from CCFm’s balcony…
After the show, I did a bit of work and then headed home with the plan to take Peter to Rhodes Memorial, which is what we did…this is the view of the city from where the statue of a ‘brooding’ Cecil John Rhodes sits…
I love these huge granite pillars…
It is a magnificent structure…on a beautiful, hot Cape Town day. Peter loved it! Here he is standing in front of the Energy Horse and Rider statue….After a light lunch, we headed home, via Muizenberg and Rhodes Cottage…which unfortunately was closing until tomorrow. At least we got to see the outside. Rhodes’ view from his front stoep…
Peter having a look around… Rhodes’ carriage is in the garage at the back…
And this is a photo of the side of the cottage….
Hopefully next time, we’ll get to go inside.
Then it was home for a much needed cup of tea. It was good to see Mavis again after her three week break.
The puzzle is only 40 pieces away from completion…but it’s a bit trickier than it seems. I’ve made a botch up of the top of the frame and am struggling to make it work and then with only blue left, there are plenty of options as to where all the blue goes…I hope to finish it soon!
Bangers and mash for dinner. Show prep nearly done. Enough milk and bread!
The Bible verse that jumped out at me this morning was from Genesis 18:14 which says, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
The answer of course, is NO! Nothing is too hard for the Lord. We need to live in obedience to Him and His Word. Keep praying, keep trusting, keep believing. One day, the Lord’s timing will be perfect and He will have an answer for you. In the meantime, keep on, keeping on. Never lose hope!
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
