Ingrid Turns 60

Wednesday

Dear Elsie

Today was the day I took most of the morning off because my friend Ingrid turned 60. She is the 3rd friend this month. We went to a lovely restaurant at Constantia Uitsig and had coffee and cake.

Blowing out her candle!

Heidi, Riana and Geralda..

It was a lovely morning.

On the way home, I got caught up in trainee traffic. At two of the main traffic lights they had all the trainee traffic officers on the streets taking turns on directing the traffic. Not only were they at the intersection at the bottom of Ou Kaapse Weg but they were also at the lights at the intersection to Stone Hurst. There were a lot of them to test. I sat at this intersection for quite some time. I could have got out the car and taken the photo without the pole in the way!

The traffic backed up a long way and some cars at the back began to hoot, not knowing what the hold up was.

Quite an art!

Home for work this afternoon. Julian arrived so we all went for a walk to the little lighthouse on Fish Hoek beach front. Home for dinner, with David joining us and that concludes the day.

Nehemiah – what a tough time he had, but there were happy times too.

Nehemiah 8:10
…the joy of the Lord is your strength.

It’s not about now – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
