It’s April 1st and it flew by. I worked from early and have just finished. Not that I’ve been working A-L-L day. What is amazing is how much work can be done when you don’t have to travel to the office. No commute. There are a lot of hours saved. I feel as if I’ve sucked the marrow out of today. Mondays are always busy. Ten hours today.
By mid-afternoon, I hadn’t been to gym yet, so I decided to take a 6km walk towards Fish Hoek. Mike joined me. The wind was cold, but we soon warmed up.
Home, we had dinner and then I went back to work, only this time, I tucked myself up in bed, which is where I now am. For a while, access to my computer was somewhat restricted…
But now she’s moved.
I got an email today from the orthodontist. It was a reminder about my appointment tomorrow. It contained all the information about having braces fitted that I got back in November. Here we go. Braces ‘light’ is over. Tomorrow I get the whole lot…every tooth.
No pain no gain.
But there is one thing about braces I never expected:
Elsie LOVES them. Whenever she sees me and I smile at her, those little fingers just can’t help themselves….they make a bee-line for my braces! Really funny!
Granny with braces. But I’m not the most interesting adult with braces. Online, there’s a couple of photos of grandmothers with granddaughters and both have braces. They are out there.
