I’m Agitated…

2-31pm

It’s a sunny Sunday afternoon. When I sit down to write a blog, I often wonder what to write about. Most times, the weekend unfolds in a relaxed routine fashion. This weekend has been no different, except I feel agitated. I feel I am up to a new challenge, but don’t have time for it!  My life is full!  My main out-of-the-house work is Rise and Shine at CCfm, which I love, but which can take 7 hours a day – an hour before the show, finalising show prep, checking news etc. Three hours in the studio.  An hour after the show, answering listener queries, taking calls etc. An hour music prep and an hour written show note prep. Then I have Granny, shopping, cooking & blog. In between all the above, I try and sell some advertising! So if I want something new, I’m going to have to manufacture some more time, because I’m not giving up any of the above!

I know what the answer is….I need to begin planning a holiday next year for Mike, me and my brother! 🙂  🙂  🙂   We wanted to go to Israel, but with the current unrest in the Middle East, perhaps this is not the right time. We want to do a Mediterranean cruise, or travel through Turkey visiting the ancient sites of Paul’s missionary journeys. I also want to catch a train across Europe. Closer to home, it’s time we went in search of the Big 5.  The holiday plans in our home are not rushed…they are slowly thought about, discussed, planned, ditched, rehashed, slowly thought about, discussed, planned, ditched, rehashed…etc for a few months (or years!), then suddenly they fall into place, tickets are booked and arrangements made and voila! An amazing holiday ensues! It will be wonderful if 2013 is the year! In the meantime, we have responsibilities!

Back to this sunny weekend, this morning we went to an entertaining church service at King of Kings, where the Kingdom Dancers were great…

And then we had Tall Paul (also known as Small Paul) come and entertain us with his artwork…

He’s 6 foot 10 inches and wears a size 15/16 shoe!

You can read more about him on his website www.drawingotherstochrist.com 🙂

Home, lunch and now I’ve finished show prep. Mike is watching golf. David is playing at a recital in Simonstown. Stacey and Adrian went to church this morning in Phnom Penh. There is a Baptist church just up the road from them. They went to the English service where there were about 25 people (with a Sunday School bigger than the congregation!). The (American) pastor was so excited at having new people, he got them up to introduce themselves! 🙂 That must have surprised them! They said everyone was very friendly and they will go again. A&S really seem to be enjoying Cambodia. They are planning on staying for three months, maybe longer. It will include Stacey’s 25th birthday and Christmas!

The Telegraph published this story online:

Increasing number of Britons are leaving their passwords, login details, passwords and detailed instructions to digital executors who then use that personal information to tidy up web-based information. By accessing the information from a secure server, an executor can erase secret email folders, close subscriptions to gambling or pornography websites or remove photographs from Facebook pages. The “digital wills” keep passwords in a secret location but can allow paying clients to update them. When they die, a named guardian can access the information when a death certificate is presented. Figures show the average person now has 26 internet accounts for a range of services including email, banking online shopping, social media sites, Skype and PayPal. Cirrus Legacy, one of Britain’s first digital legacy companies, has more than 500 clients after being founded earlier this year.

So interesting. We may be able to hide things from our family and friends, but not from the Lord.  Hebrews 4:13 ” And no creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”

Good to remember!

We are in His sight and His Grip!

God bless you loads!

Helga xx 🙂
