I’ll Have a Regular Thursday Please

Each day has a flavour of its own. The weeks slip by with things happening on each day according to the routine that we have created. There is no drama in our lives right now. Thankfully. The biggest ‘drama’ of yesterday was Truffles getting stuck. I don’t know how she got into the eaves of the balcony roof except along the thin vine you can see on the right of the photo.

I went out onto the balcony and heard her meowing. I couldn’t see her until I looked up and there she was. You could see some cat thoughts going around in her cat brain trying to figure out the best way to get down from her perch. I know why she was there….she was hoping to someone snatch  one of the sun-birds out of mid-air as they arrived to have a drink…

It wasn’t going to happen. The birds sense danger and were staying away. Truffles looked at me pitifully. I got a chair and swept her off the bar. She grabbed the vine and clung on for dear life. I had to unroll her paws from the vine. Silly kitty!

So you can imagine if that is the only drama in my life, it is a very peaceful state right now! I’ll have a regular Thursday please.

Today I went to gym, did a workout worthy of 300+ calories and then came home for a leisurely breakfast with Mike who was busy painting the boundary wall. He gets out early before the sun gets too hot.

All the while my cell phone was abuzz with messages from teacher applicants needing information. After breakfast I went to my desk and started working. I cleared through my email. David has arrived. I’ve am having tea and am doing my blog on this regular Thursday.

#185 of my 1000 thanks is for a regular Thursday.

There is peace. It is a gift. This is a regular day. It is a day to breath in, appreciate, enjoy and be thankful!

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?

Julian arrives tonight for the weekend. Yay! We will have to think up a to-do list.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
