2-24pm
I was up before 7am to see Mike out the door. I thought I would go back to bed with coffee, but Granny was up, so I helped her in the bathroom and got her dressed. Made her breakfast, cleaned the kitchen, put the washing in the machine and then made coffee and went back to bed! 🙂
Julian soon arrived and suggested breakfast at FLM, which I thought was nothing less than an absolutely brilliant idea…last breakfast of 2012…
Yum!
Then we decided to take a drive around the Peninsula…we drove through Simonstown past Cape Point and all the way back up, stopping at Witsands to admire the kite surfers. It was the perfect day for it…
Then we decided to drive over Chapman’s Peak Drive, stopping to enjoy spectacular Noordhoek Beach…
This is a panoramic view of Hout Bay from the top of Chappies….
Then it was all the way home again in time to give Granny lunch.
As I see the end of 2012, I can look back with gratitude at God’s faithfulness. His grace is enough. It has been a year of mainly ups with a few downs. It has kept me on my knees, trusting God in the tough times, relaxing in Him in the easier times. Remaining confident in Him at all times…striving to be anxious for nothing…striving to be prayerful, striving to give thanks in all circumstances.
My verse for 2013 is Psalm 138:8
“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me…”
In other words, the Lord will perfect – whatever is further necessary to be done, He will do it. (Clarke’s Commentary).
I need only trust Him. And so with confidence I greet 2013, knowing who goes before me. Knowing God holds the future and I am in His care, so all will be well!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
God bless you richly!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
