1-23pm
We had made an ’emergency’ appointment for Granny the other evening and then rescheduled it for today as it wasn’t really an emergency. I wrote a note to the doc asking him to also speak to Granny about her frailty and the need she is going to have for further care. He examined her bruises and her thumb & said it wasn’t broken, just badly bruised. Then he spoke to her about the need for further frail care and she said, “Oh!” My heart broke. This is clearly not what she wants. My head says, ‘it’s time’. My heart says, ‘hang onto her.’ I think the best thing to do is to organise a period of care at the home we are thinking about and let her see what it’s like and let us have a rest. Anyway, he prescribed a tranquilizer for night time and I am to start her on half a tablet tonight. Getting out to see the Dr was a good opportunity to go a little further and take her out for tea…here we are at Chit Chat…
Self-taken photos are not always easy! Light wasn’t great but you get the picture! 🙂
It was tea for two…
When I got home, David was there watching a tense game of tennis between South African Kevin Anderson & Frenchman Julien Benneteau – it was the semi finals of the Sydney International tournament…. Anderson was stretched…Match Point to Benneteau…
Saved by a brilliant second serve! Whew! It went onto be a third set tie-break, which was very even…
Until eventually there was a winner…
YaY!!!! He won! He won! So excited for him. Tomorrow he plays Ozzie Bernard Tomic, in Sydney!! Going to be a great match. You can do it Kevin! You can do it!
1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.
We’ll be rooting for him!
Today, Peter’s rental car arrived, so now he has wheels and is independent. Tomorrow, he leaves for his road trip.
Yeah! Friday in sunny Cape Town and I’m going to have a nap!
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
