Wow! Wow! Wow! How BIG is God? With Him ALL things are possible. He knows our desires and He meets them. Today the final Share-a-thon session was on from 9am to 1pm. In my heart I set a target of R2 million. I didn’t think we would get it though. The morning began quite quietly…this is my view from the broadcast stage as the final session got under way…
Things look all orderly here! Loads & loads of people came to visit and have tea and the amazing cake that Alison made…
Soon chaos reigned…we were shouting over each other through the microphones…the phones were ringing, people were talking, smsses were coming in and our total was growing. From time to time there was a prolonged lull and we would urge listeners to keep giving. R100 a month for the next year became the common pledge…those donations added thousands of rands to our total! Soon, someone phoned in and pledged R30 000, once off! Wow! Brian! Thank you. Then we worked out we only needed about R25 000 to get to an amazing R1.9 million for the week. Once that was achieved we celebrated, rejoiced and with an hour left pressed on towards R2 million for the week. With about 8 minutes to spare, we crossed that incredible milestone!!! We ended Share-a-thon 2012, having received pledges of R2 025 087! It came in during the following days:
