Such a simple message. Give, Save, Live.
It’s the key to financial freedom and I heard it this morning from Andy Stanley from his series on Happiness.
Whatever money you get in, give first, save next and live on the rest.
- Give = joy
- Save = Peace
- Live = Freedom
Avoid debt.
Such practical advice.

As far as the rest of today went, last night, I went to bed way too early and as a result woke up in the small hours of the night…a couple of times. I lay in bed listening, knowing that if the crooks returned they were very unlikely to be able to get it. Yesterday the last of our reinforced burglar bars were installed and they have made us feel a lot more comfortable. We are not quite as neurotic. We are vigilant but not neurotic. It’s been three weekends in a row that we have been ‘hit’, if you count Friday 1st September as a weekend. That was followed by 10th and then 17th. It will be interesting to see if they come again this weekend. The first time they broke in was on Woman’s Day, so we understand that they could try Monday as it’s a public holiday.
I feel pretty confident that if they tried they won’t be able to actually get inside the house.
Meantime, back in Isaiah this morning, I was again reminded how valuable it is to read the Bible every day
Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Thank you Lord!
