5-20pm
Today has been a bad day. Here’s why:
1. I got a message from a listener suggesting we change the morning drive show presenter (I AM the morning drive show presenter!) OUCH! That hurt!
SOLUTION: Water off a duck’s back Helga. Remember the Bible verse you put on FB this morning: 1 Corinthians 7 (month) :23 (day) says: “You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.”
But it lingered longer than it should have.
2. I am dealing with a difficult situation – toxic, in fact. I am seeing how I can either improve it, or remove myself from it, but today I struggled with it. It’s out of my control.
SOLUTION: a) Find someone you can trust to vent to. b) Find a distraction – I had lunch with a kind, loving friend.
3. I posted an erroneous blog with a fake picture of William a baby (not his own!) – Egg on my face, which doesn’t really do any harm!
SOLUTION : EDIT! EDIT! EDIT!
After all this, I decided the only thing to do was to go for a run. As I started running, it started raining. I got wet. As I stopped running, it stopped raining! But I did see a rainbow on the way and was reminded of God’s love and promise to us.
I seldom have bad days. When I do, I try and get some perspective. No one has died. I am well. Time will pass. Will any of this matter in a year’s time? Most times I can say ‘no’. But when I find myself saying, ‘yes, it will matter in a year’s time’, then I find myself following it up with, ‘you may just have to fight for what is right and you may just have to ride out the storm.’
Whatever! The run did me good. Helga is over and out! Psalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.
In His Grip, regardless!
Helga xx 🙂
