Wednesday
Dear Elsie
Yesterday, I finished the blog with a mention of plumbing issues. Grandpa and Courage went off and got the parts needed for the repair and came straight home & up the ladder. I decided to go up and look as well and as a result got some lovely photos from the roof. Trying to find the problem…
Solar panels & gabion baskets…
The photo above will look entirely different in a year’s time I think. It’s a good one to keep.
And the view towards Fish Hoek. The higher you go, the better the view.
At least the issue is now fixed, but it took more time than we hoped.
Today, I glanced at my Easter Lilies and they are opening! What a transformation.
I’m told the red stamen must be avoided – apparently they stain something terrible. They are the part that gives off a beautiful fragrant aroma, so what I’ve done is cut off the ones that are about to fall and left them in a plastic container. Hopefully the scent will hang around a while.
I did a good day’s work and tomorrow there will be more. No swimming until the wind has died down, but I have been getting some enjoyable walks in. Julian arrived today, so maybe we will go walking too.
Psalm 111:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
