Monday
Dear Elsie
Today was the day formwork & foundations happened.
To get to this point, Mike needed to make up a tripod for his theodolite.
He so enjoyed getting the formwork straight and not having to use a level.
So that kept Mike busy for most of the day. I worked for 7 or so hours. Last day of July. It’s hard to believe that tomorrow August begins. We hope August will bring better health for David.
Yesterday when we were walking down to Fish Hoek, we passed a young seal on the rocks off the cat walk. Unfortunately, it was being traumatised by a couple of guys. Apparently, they tried to pick it up.
I called Sacob but there was no reply, so I put a message out on the NHW chat group. Eventually, someone phoned the SPCA and they came to pick it up.
I’m not sure it will survive. Usually, when a seal gets out the water, it’s not well. This one looked like it was separated from its Mom.
While there was rain today, it should be passed for the next few days and we look forward to some sunny days ahead.
Psalm 139:13
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx
