1-26pm
The new year has just begun. Our New Year’s Eve was spent quietly at home, having dinner by candlelight on our balcony. The wind had dropped and it was as perfect as it could be and memorable too.
While it was the last day of 2014 and we have had the balcony for 20 years, after dinner we had a first – we sat at that little table and we had a time of praise – thanking God for the 365 days that have passed. It was beyond special – it had eternal significance.
I stayed up until midnight, woke Mike up with 8 minutes to go, saw the new year in and was in bed by 00.03! We woke early this morning and headed for Fish Hoek beach where I had my first swim of 2015. It was delicious…
Fish Hoek Beach – I hope to spend more time there before summer ends…
Came home, showered and then Mike went to play golf and I made my first breakfast stack for the year…
The rest of the morning was spent reading, doing some domestic chores (do they ever end?) and just relaxing. I spent some time here…
I was quite excited. These are the Words God planned in advance for me to read. I am always stirred when reading Genesis 1. Today was no different.
I am sure there is some significance that God made light first. John 8:12
When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
From day one, the creation of light was the first glimmer of the salvation plan that God set in motion. There in the very first three verses of Genesis you have God creating the heavens and the earth, the Spirit of God hovering over the waters and God creating Light, which Jesus says He is.
A clean slate lies before you. Walk in the Light.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
