Yesterday evening, during an early dinner with Granny, I looked out the window and to my surprise, there was Marilyn reversing the Tears Kombi up the driveway to off-load The Cat! We carried the cage to the backyard and opened it to let him out. He gingerly left the cage and then started meowing piteously! I got some food and fed him. He cried on and on and on, until eventually, all he really wanted was some TLC. He was a bit woozy after his neutering. He has been vaccinated as well…
Mike is not ready to have him in the house. I’m working on that! 🙂 He did try and get in, but eventually went back to his garden spot and settled down.
When I got home today, I went to see if he was okay. He followed me to the patio, where I lay down on the three-seater swing and picked him up put him on my lap! That was when I really learned that this is not a wild cat by any means. All that hissing and spitting and scratching and biting was all a ruse! He must have had a home somewhere along the line. He is skittish and jumps at sudden sounds, but generally, as these photos show, we have one affectionate, clingy kitty, who now has a name – MONTY! He turned in circles a few dozen times on my lap but eventually settled down…
Purrrfectly content!! (But still not allowed in the house!) Clearly TLC deprived.
The other ‘joy’ of the day was that my JOY magazine arrived and in it was a letter I sent the magazine in December with a photograph of Granny reading it. She loves Joy Magazine. The letter was published in the Feb/Mar edition with the picture! Although Granny, wasn’t quite sure what to make of actually seeing the photo there, she did enjoy showing Mavis who was highly impressed!…
Granny’s ‘bad hair day’ (hence the hat) came to an end when I took her to the hairdresser this afternoon and we both had our hair cut! She is feeling much more comfortable.
Proverbs 19:23 The fear of the LORD leads to life: Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.
I hope you are content!
God bless you stacks!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
