Fence and Wall

Monday

Today was the day…

That was windy! No swimming day. I’ve looked at wind guru and it looks like tomorrow will be the same, but Wednesday to Saturday we should be able to swim.

Today, Courage had help. A youngster came for the day, so a few extra things were achieved. Firstly he dug holes for poles to erect a temporary fence down the southern side of the house.

This prevents access from the mountain.

A cubic metre of sand was carried from the kerb to the upper landing so that was helpful and then Courage continued with the entrance to the Little Lookout. This was the other day…

And this is today…

Tomorrow the steps will be changed so there is a level entry point and then paving can commence. Our first official paying guest arrives on Thursday, so it will come down to the wire!

The other thing that happened today was Jens who is building a house in Simon’s Town came with his architect and Werner. He wanted the architect to see our building and ask Werner any questions on construction. It was so great to see Werner again and we got his nod of approval regarding all the work that Courage has been doing. He was also very impressed with the workshop area under the house. He is working on getting our plumbing and glazing certificates so we can get our permanent occupation permit.

And I worked for 7 hours.

Today, Aunty Wyn has been in heaven for 3 years. Always remembered with joy and gratitude.

1 Chronicles 29:11

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
