Today I was reminded that everything happens for a reason. Without going into detail, in December 2015 I had a bad experience that left me shattered and feeling so very devastated for the people involved. I learned from it and never did anything again that would affect some of the applicants in this way. Others however, continued what I was doing at the time and today I found out that the bad experience I had back then has been repeated and now others are shattered and feeling so devastated for the people involved.
My heart goes out to them.
I am so grateful that we didn’t pursue this line of work and cause the heartbreak that they are feeling today.
Fortunately no one died and the difficulties were not life threatening. Time will pass and it will heal, but I was reminded today that everything happens for a reason. God does not waste pain and I learned the lesson early.
I’m grateful for that.
Apart from that lesson
#348 of my 1000 thanks today is for the technology that allows me to follow David as he does a cycle…there he goes…
And he has arrived in Barrydale…
I’m not sure where is off to next, but he has already moved and we will be watching.
🙂
So this afternoon Mike and I went on an excursion. I suddenly remembered that Thursday are ‘pensioner days’ at the nursery, so half an hour ago, I took my pensioner to the nursery and stocked up on bird juice and seed balls. We got 10% off and the birds are now very happy. In fact it took all of 10 seconds for them to start tucking in.
Psalm 4:8
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going!
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
