Friday
Today was the day…
Courage started building the wall immediately to the left of our front door. This is coming up the steps…
This is from the top step looking in what will be a big door…
Mike on the newly tiled front door step….
And this is from where Mike is standing…the wall is going to be tall. Courage is just putting its footprint down so he can get the paving done.
Courage can’t come tomorrow, so he has 3 days to get finished. His last working day this year is Wednesday. He and his family are going home to Johannesburg for Christmas. He is so excited. But first he has to do the paving.
Also today, the wind dropped. We woke up to a beautiful still day with sunshine and blue skies. We went to the beach and had a swim. The shark net was being put out as we arrived, so I swam up and down to the barrel. I got my 2km. I nearly had a head-on collision with a guy who was snorkelling. Visibility was excellent but I didn’t see him and he didn’t see me. From time to time I look to see where I’m going and if there are other swimmers around but I missed him. He came up right next to me. We had a good laugh. Literally, almost a head on! The beach doesn’t get better than this. 9am this morning…
Meanwhile, in Swellendam this happened today…Elsie aged 3 and a half, had her first knitting lesson.
Good to start them young!
Today I celebrate one year without braces! Yeah!
I also got most of my Christmas shopping done. A good day all round.
1 Peter 5:10
The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
