Don’t Quit…

I have been pondering the words of a poem called Don’t Quit which has been around a long time and is good to re-read from time to time.

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
when he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worse, that…

You Must Not Quit.

Great little poem. Out of the Bible, comes this verse…

And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.(Philippians 1:6)

So no matter what you are going through, best advice to receive is keep going! It will be worth it. Don’t quit!

The day was sunny and mild….

…and we had a visitor who gingerly poked his head in the door…

So cute….

Mike stayed home today and I’m glad to say is feeling better. I’m off to make dinner!
