Saturday
Dear Elsie
Today was the day they dug up the road right outside our house. The workers were so quick. When we got down to the street, this is the sight that met us…they are digging a trench and laying new water pipes…
This big fella has got a scooper at the front and a digger at the back.
The workers were very organised. The truck came along side to receive the sand…
It then got out the way as soon as possible as there were cars coming and going and it was blocking the road. They got the pipes in…
Then they started filling it in again…
Initially, we walked to Sun Valley to pick up Mike’s car. Then we drove home and Mike spoke to the foreman about digging away a bit of the bush next to our house so we have more space to park. Hopefully, they will do that on Monday.
We then went to Canal Walk. We haven’t been there for ages and it was quite a fun way to while away a few relaxing hours. We did a lot of looking and a little buying….for a special birthday coming up for next month someone is turning 6! We went out for ribs and then came home. By the time we arrived, the trench was covered and we were able to park on the kerb.
The wind is still blowing strongly, but worse is still to come. It should start abating sometime on Monday.
Luke 12:6-7
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
