David spent last night in Sutherland in the Karoo. He went to a tour of the SA Large Telescope, slept and then left on his bike at 5-30am this morning. This was his route. Depart Sutherland, cycle 83km to Middelpos.
Sorry, it’s not a great picture. Just to give you an idea of how isolated it is, after he had been cycling for 3 and a half hours, he phoned me at about the half way mark and said he hadn’t had a car pass him in 3 hours! When he arrived at his destination, he said it was the same for the rest of the way. No rush hour traffic into Middelpos.
David’s arrival in Middelpos is probably the biggest event it has had in a while. He’s staying at Middelpos Hotel. Pop in if you are in the area! š
So today has passed uneventfully. The sunrise was beautiful as usual…
The show went well and there was a HUGE response to the Rev Dave Carder’s message on Focus on the Family over the last two days. I posted the 19 dangerous actions on thisĀ blog siteĀ and hadĀ more views today (I think about 130) than I’ve had since I changed to using this blog. Clearly a big need for protecting our marriages.
I worked really hard after it to complete tomorrow and Thursday’s music prep. Then it was off to Joyce Meyer Ministries to collect prizes for this month’s competition…
Jack came this afternoon to chat about tomorrow’s show and I’ve cooked dinner and will go and serve Granny about now. Mike has had some training on today and is not yet home.
All is well.
