Today has been a really busy day. I’ve got to 9-08pm and am trying to figure out why I was so busy today. I had a long to-do list and hit the road running – doing washing, phoning various places, checking details, printing stuff, putting the rubbish out, cleaning the house, having my haircut and add to that working! No wonder it has been so busy.
The day was not without its curve balls.
To start with, Mike’s netbook inexplicably died! Nothing he could do would revive it. It’s less than three months old so it was irritating and frustrating. We had bought it from Game on 4th July. Mike phoned the store, spoke to the manager and a full refund was offered. Sadly, Mike is now without this great little travel laptop. He will take my bigger one.
My curve ball came with an unexpected email. I write blogs a company and they rejected one! That was a first. They said I must rewrite it! Huh? I clearly missed something. The guy that actually employs me said it was fine, but his client wasn’t happy. He gave more exact details of what was required and I tried to meet the brief. Hopefully round two will be accepted. I’ve never had to rewrite an entire blog before. Edits, yes, rewrites, never! Until today! There’s a first for everything!
#429 of my 1000 thanks today is actually for a greater feeling of security. Today we almost fell back to normal. I felt less neurotic and even though Mike was out for a few hours, I found myself working upstairs without locking myself in behind the security gate and putting the alarm on.
We are mostly ready to take off on holiday!
Yay!
More treasure from Isaiah
Isaiah 49:15-16
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going!
God bless you!
