Conquering Massive Rocks

Friday

Dear Elsie,

Today was the day two massive rocks got conquered. Courage and his team were working on getting a huge one down a level & they succeeded. The big rock circled came down from below the one above.

They pounded away at the top one, thinking it would be small. By the time it had been loosened enough to fall, it was only a little smaller than its mountainside buddy.

Massive boulders they are. The one on the left needs to be chiseled down a little but then that will be its final resting place. It will be joined by a ton of back fill that will take it up to the right level.

I worked about 7 hours. News from my manager who I covered for this week is that he has to take leave for a family emergency and next week I need to cover as well.  I could hardly say no.

David had a quiet day. He spent some time in his unit and then laboured up the stairs for lunch, the afternoon and dinner. Rest is the best remedy. We were grateful to Pastor John who came to visit and to pray for him. Much appreciated. We are slowing life down and taking one day at a time.

I just love Friday evenings, but after working almost 47 hours this week, I’m feeling particularly happy Friday has come.  Next guests are on Sunday, so I don’t need to do much before then.

Psalm 69:30
I will praise God’s Name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Gran xx 🙂
