It’s so easy to get bogged down with complications. The last few days my mind has been whirring with thoughts…maybes, what ifs…how abouts…why was thats…perhaps ifs…they came pouring into my head, hurting my brain, confusing my spirit and frustrating my life! Then I spotted some sermon notes I had made…two things were written in big letters… BE THANKFUL & BE FAITHFUL. 
It was just what I needed. Simplify was the answer…get rid of all the cluttered thoughts surging through my mind and focus on being thankful and being faithful. That made it so much easier.
1 Timothy 1:12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that He considered me faithful, appointing me to His service.
Today, I had a busy morning with the show first, then off to Bible study with a thought-provoking, challenging message from Andy Stanley – part two of his series on Twisted.
After that I nipped over the mountain, picked up Julian and decided to see if Catharina’s, the restaurant at Steenberg Estate had any unreserved tables. They did!
It is a lovely restaurant – peaceful, relaxing and warm with rain falling outside and a fire burning in the hearth…
The food was delicious.
We decided that when Julian comes down from Johannesburg we will visit, one by one, all the farms along this route and try out all their restaurants! 🙂 It was very therapeutic relaxing and enjoying some peace and quiet!
Home, pasta for dinner and now an evening off! Yippee! 🙂
Tomorrow I am leading the volunteer information morning at CCFm. It’s only an hour from 10-30 to 11-30am. I am looking forward to that. 🙂
