4-09pm
A fun day with the arrival late last night of my brother Julian and his daughter Jessica. I did my final show for 2012 and so was up uber -early. With no carer to see to Granny, I left her tea and toast at some really early hour and then went to CCFm. Right after the show, I zipped to the already crazy crowded mall and did some final shopping. Then I came home and sorted Granny out. David and Jessica went down to the Mall for their own shopping and I got stuck into putting the meat on and cleaning up the house. That done, Julian arrived home from an appointment. Soon Jessica and David arrived back and we all sat down for a chat…
In the afternoon, Sally, Granny’s youngest sister stopped by for a very quick visit to say hello to Granny. It was a poignant moment, that left Granny slightly tearful. She needs to know she is not forgotten. So sorry I didn’t take a photo of them!
News from Cambodia is the appearance on FB of the yummy mince pies that Stacey has constructed for the hotel staff. This is one way to reach people for Jesus. Love them with mince pies!
Jean-Nicolas Bouilly quote: “Whatever we possess becomes of double value when we have the opportunity of sharing it with others.” There’s a truth. Be generous this Christmas.
Everything is under control at the van Niekerk home. I’m drinking tea. Mike’s car is being cleaned by a passer by. The house is in order. The only thing that needs to be done is washing put on the line before Christmas! I will go and do that now.
Luke 2:11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
God bless you richly this Christmas time. May joy and peace be yours and fill your homes with the sweet aroma of God’s love.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
