It was a beautiful day today. Mike and I woke at about 7ish, had coffee and by 8am were sitting in Church. The teaching at St. Peter’s Fish Hoek is excellent. Right now the series is in Deuteronomy and I have been enjoying it so much. They put the sermons online each week, so if I miss a Sunday, I can catch up here.
After Church, we did a bit of shopping and then went home and had a few hours of resting and reading. I actually also did a bit of work. I had checked my email and saw there was something that needed my attention, so I went in and got on with it.
By 3pm, Mike was edging towards the car to go and play 9 holes. After all, the day was spectacular. He teed off at Clovelly at about 3-30pm. I was there to follow him.
As you can see, Clovelly Golf Course is looking majestic. The course is in great condition and the recent rain has just made the fairways flourish. This is the path leading to the 2nd hole. We don’t often play the first nine, so it was fun to walk that part of the course.
This is the 6th tee box.
I was so grateful approaching the 6th. There have been times in the past, that I have let Mike play the 6th on his own because my Achilles were giving me so much trouble and then I would catch up with him after he had teed off the 9th.
#645 of my 1000 thanks is that there was none of that today…my feet fitness is so much better.
Mike about to tee off the 7th…
Such a lovely afternoon and worth getting out off my bed for! 🙂
So it was a Church & Golf Sunday.
In the evening Julian came over for supper and some TV. He only leaves on Tuesday evening so we get to see him tomorrow and Tuesday as well.
Matthew 6:13
Deliver us from evil
A good prayer to pray. We have had 7 full months of no burglaries. We are still cautious but not as neurotic as we were 7 months ago.
Deliver us from evil.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
Excercise: I guess 2 hours of dragging Mike’s golf cart adds up to something!
