Today I did three loads of washing…all on the quick cycle so hopefully not too much water was used. Two full sets of linen washed, at least 9 towels and a bunch of clothes.
#531 of my 1000 thanks – I have caught up with the laundry.
I did not go to gym. I really missed it, but the rest did my body good. Tomorrow will be gym business as usual.
Last night the dogs a couple of houses down were going mad. There are four of them and they usually hang around the back of the house. At about 11-30pm, you could hear them barking non stop. I spent a while listening for anything sinister but eventually fell asleep. I slept soundly from midnight until 6am when my alarm clock went off.
During the course of the morning, I took a walk around the back of the houses to see if anything was amiss. There was a chap sitting behind the corner house making things out of wire. Behind our house, everything looked fine. I continued to where the dogs live. I could see that someone had walked across to the back wall and there behind their garage was a large rock. It made it high enough for someone to climb onto their garage. I looked over the wall and the end room window had a big hole in it. They have Spanish bars so it would have been difficult for anyone to get into the house. Why the window was broken I have not idea. Perhaps it was an accident. It was a big hole too, not brick sized. The dogs were nowhere to be seen. I think we will be taking a few more walks that way during the course of this week.
I have done almost 6 hours work today, which was unexpected, but then Mondays are always busy catch up days.
The one thing that Mike and I have been enjoying in the evening is The Crown!
We are half way through Season 2, so I am keen to drag it out as when it’s over I need to wait a while before the next one. In this season there is a lot about Prince Philip. If you ever wondered who of the Royal grandchildren takes after him, you don’t have to look far. Look at this picture. Prince Philip and his grandson Prince William walking to church. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Same shape head, forehead, nose, jaw line, hairline….
Prince William is 35 years old, born on 21st June 1982.
Prince Philip is 96 years old, born on 10th June 1921.
And to think we all thought William looked like his Mom.
Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.
Such wise words as we consider the way ahead in our plans to build on a mountainside.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
