It’s usually where the Egyptian geese sit. Yesterday I heard a scrambling outside above the balcony and saw through Truffles sliding down the plastic sheeting onto the roof. I called her and she jumped back onto the apex. I climbed over the balcony onto the roof of the main part of the house and reached my cell phone up and took a photo….there she was – a cat on a hot tin roof….well sort of hot and not really tin, but it is a roof….queen of the castle…
I called her and she happily came…
Today has been a relaxing day. We woke late, had a late breakfast, late lunch and late 5km walk. we also had an afternoon sleep, which will probably mean a late night!
I remember when Stacey was about 5 and David 2 – on Sunday afternoons, Mike would disappear after lunch for an afternoon nap and I would feel so aggrieved that I couldn’t join him. The children were no longer sleeping during the day and were full of beans in the afternoon, needing care and wanting entertainment. The years stretched out before me. The chance of afternoon sleeps was going to take a lot of years to get to. Now that they are possible, I seldom make use of the opportunity. Today I did!
#373 of my 1000 thanks is that we got an email with the names of the next group of teachers who need to be ready to leave for Abu Dhabi! Another 19 whose lives are about to change.
My Bible reading this morning took me to Psalm 23. Such a wonderful Psalm
Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.
These are the days!
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
