THAT was news that I woke up to this morning. The latest airport ratings for 2017 were released and Cape Town is ranked the BEST airport in Africa coming in ahead of Dubai AND Sydney and is now in the top 20!!
That is an accolade!
Durban’s King Shaka International and Johannesburg’s OR Tambo came in at 35 and 37th respectively.
It is great to see Cape Town jump 3 spots from 22 last year to 19 this year. Johannesburg fell from 30th in the world to 37th, while King Shaka remained the same.
Good to see good news!
It was also great to see the rain this morning. Now it is overcast with some sunshine, so it looks like the rain is over for a while.
#232 of my 1000 thanks is for the wonderful mixed fresh berries I picked up at the shops today! I love em!
It’s good for me to come back to my Bible reading in the middle of the day. It reminds me of what I read. Today it was the story of Balaam and how he abused his donkey.
Numbers 22:32
The angel of the Lord asked him, Why have you beaten your donkey these three times? I have come here to oppose you because your path is a reckless one before me.”
There have been several times in my life that I have chosen the reckless path and God has intervened and spared me from much heartache and suffering.
Andy Stanley says something very significant – “pay attention to the tension”. If you are grappling with a problem and feel confused and uncomfortable about it, pay attention to the tension. If something doesn’t quite feel right, it probably isn’t. It’s worth back-tracking and taking a closer look at your circumstances and double checking that your path is not a reckless one before God.
That’s a word in season.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you!
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
