Sunday
One of the most complex things about doing our own electrics for this build is getting the positioning of the conduits right. They are positions along invisible walls. The day began at 6:30am and we finally completed the job at 7:30pm this evening! Yip! It was a long day. Apart from Mike, Julian and me, we had morning help from my friend Sue’s son, Joshua and then this afternoon David joined us. We’ve done the best we can and tomorrow the concrete will be poured.
One of the most meaningful things was placing Granny’s Bible in the foundations. A link between the generation past. We put it in a packet and laid it at a point just inside my bedroom. It’s a reminder that our lives are founded on the Word of God and it is central to our lives. I’m glad it’s in a packet because it’s going to rain tonight.
As we approached the end of the day, we had a short time of prayer.
We are grateful. Just before we left, I took this photo…
This is my kitchen….invisible walls!
The engineer came at 4pm to inspect the steel content and he is happy. This is the balcony from below….which also has his approval…
Tomorrow the cement is due to arrive at 9am. There is a lot of it and it will probably take the whole morning.
We are pretty shattered, so it’s time for bed.
Genesis 2:7
The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
These are the days.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
