Saturday
Dear Elsie
You were here! You were here! You and your parents arrived today and we had a wonderful time together as a family. You and I went shopping and in the afternoon we walked on the mountainside. You did so well. I take it for granted when I’m on the mountain that I have my stick and use that to manage the uneven path and the rocks and shrubs. But you are so much shorter and you managed so well.
We’ve had a lovely dinner this evening on the balcony before the rain came. There has been thunder and lightening and more rain is forecast. You enjoyed sitting with David and he showed you a seahorse. You never knew there could be a horse in the sea.
Then as the sun began to set, the most amazing double rainbow appeared in the sky. It is the best rainbow we have every seen. David took some photos, including this one…
Just amazing.
It has been a lovely family day. As we gathered for dinner and held hands in prayer, I was very aware that most likely this is the last weekend we will gather as a family for a long time. With David leaving for China, our family time will look different. That rainbow – God’s double banner of love over us wherever we are in the world.
Just so lovely to see Adrian, Stace and Elsie and to have David home for just a little longer.
Psalm 63:3
Because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
