Today was the day…
We went to the waste site to drop off the fridge packaging and then went to Simon’s Town. We have been looking for bar chairs for our kitchen island and I spotted some beech ones on Facebook. You have to snap these things up. They were a little worn, need a spruce up and to be reupholstered but otherwise will work well. Best thing was that they were a fraction of the price of new or even other second hand. An advert on Gumtree was selling some for R600 each. I got all four for R750!
Later in the day we took them over to Echo to store them there and I also had the chance to check out our en-suite bathroom which is coming on nicely…
Mike and I spent some time outside his study door where Courage has excavated and talked about the available space we have and how it can be used. We also had long discussions today about the time line. Always re-evaluating, it’s possible we could be in, in about a month’s time – say the third week of October. Werner has still got some way to go but he says it will go quickly and he should be off site in the next week. But after that we will need to wait for the counter tops to arrive. Mike will also need to do the solar system. Hoping for the best! We had tea with David and then I came home for a long natter with Stacey.
