Wednesday
Dear Elsie
Today we went back to the beach after a break. We hadn’t been in a while, but it was so worth it today. The water temperature must have been 20C. It was so warm.
Came home, had a shower and breakfast and got to work.
Meanwhile, on the mountainside, there has been more excavation & the gabion baskets are nearly at the top of the property…
And today Mike had Courage and Hardlife screed the top of the right hand side gabion basket platform.
That was what happened today – one week before Christmas.
Today I read Habakkuk. As I read it, I found myself thinking, “I identify”. Violence, injustice, wrong-doing, destruction, strife, conflict. That was Habakkuk’s complaint. The last verse of the book:
Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights.
It’s not about now – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Gran xx 🙂
