Sunday
Today was the day…
That was far windier than I thought it would be. I thought today was going to be calm – a brilliant swimming day. Nope! All I can say is the Cape Town Cycle Tour peeps must be really pleased the race was last Sunday and not today. It has blown gales. We officially start autumn today…
The leaves on the oak trees will start turning brown and falling. The days are certainly getting shorter with the sun rising much later and setting earlier. The temperatures are already cooler and I’m half in winter pajamas. And with all of this, what should also be evident are windless days! Not seeing too many of those this week!
Today, we took a drive back to Little Stream for breakfast. Another nice outing, with Mike this time. Last time, he didn’t come.
Afterwards, we drove via Kirstenbosch, to drop off a book, and then came home the scenic route. I did a bit of work, had a video call with Stacey and Elsie, and Julian and I walked. Now, I’m going to heat our supper. Thanks to Freedom Foods who were open today, we have a lovely dinner to look forward to.
It’s going to be a busy start to the week. I work tomorrow, even though it’s Human Rights Day and a holiday in South Africa. Plus we have guests leaving the cottage and more arriving 4 hours later, so Ruth will come in the afternoon to do the clean. That will be super helpful.
A good weekend and a happy, albeit windy week ahead.
Deuteronomy 1:31
And you saw how the Lord your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child.
You are cared for and cared about.
The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.
Keep the smile going.
God bless you.
In His Grip,
Helga xx 🙂
